Updated Airport/PFAS response plan

On behalf of the Martha’s Vineyard Airport (MVY), Tetra Tech is providing this notice of the submittal of the Immediate Response Action (IRA) Plan related the presence of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in groundwater. The IRA Plan presents the findings of the investigation activities completed thus far, and presents planned response actions to address PFAS impacts. The IRA Plan was submitted to MassDEP on Friday, January 18, 2019. This and other documents related to the site will be publicly available via the MassDEP Waste Site & Reportable Release Database: https://eeaonline.eea.state.ma.us/portal#!/search/wastesite by searching under Release Tracking Number (RTN) 4-0027571. Also, MVY will be uploading the IRA Plan to their website at https://mvyairport.com on Tuesday January 22, 2019.

 The next public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday January 30, 2019 at 5:30 PM in the MVY Terminal Building. Ron Myrick will be presenting the findings of the initial assessment activities and planned IRA actions as presented in the recently submitted IRA Plan.
