Recycling for:
- All plastic containers, food containers
- Glass
- Cans: Empty, clean
- Paper: Newspapers, magazines, in a paper bag, etc.
- Cardboard: Flattened
- Rechargeable Batteries and Fluorescent Bulbs (Please Give to Attendant)
Recycling Shed (a.k.a. the 'Dumptique' ) Accepts:
- Clothing, clean and usable
- Shoes and boots
- Books
- Small household Items - NO furniture or appliances
- Note that we can no longer accept children's toys or clothes
Not Accepted at Local Drop-offs
- Leaves and Grass Clippings
- Stumps
Fees Apply to Items Listed Below
- Wood: Accepted at Refuse District Transfer Station
- Appliances: Accepted at Refuse District Transfer Station
- Metal: Accepted at Chilmark and West Tisbury Landfills
- Large Items: Edgartown Only
- Compost Recycling: $2 for up to 5 5-gallon buckets
Martha's Vineyard Regional Refuse District
All of the above items are accepted at the Refuse District Transfer Station on the Edgartown - West Tisbury Road in Edgartown (just past the Airport on the right heading towards Edgartown). 508-627-4501
