Full-Time Police Officer - West Tisbury Police Department

The West Tisbury Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer.  Full-time M.P.T.C. Academy-trained preferred (not required), and the ability to be certified as a Massachusetts police officer as defined by the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, able to obtain a valid MA driver’s license, and able to obtain a license to carry firearms.  Applicants must be free of any physical disability that would prevent them from performing all the essential job functions of a police officer. The West Tisbury Police Department is also accepting lateral transfers; education and experience will be considered in determining the starting step on the current wage scale. The present salary range is $87,602.70 - $123,265.79, with a full benefits package including an education incentive and a shift differential. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree or higher is preferred.

Essential Functions: Enforce all Massachusetts laws, local laws, and bylaws within the police area of responsibility.
