MA Marriage License Info

Getting Married in Massachusetts: Before the Wedding- click here for a link to the States web page and all the info you need to know before and after you get married!

  • Couples must appear in person to file their Intention to marry three (3) days prior to the wedding. Please contact the Town Clerk to schedule a time to file intentions: 508-696-0148 or townclerk@westtisbury-ma.gov
  • The cost to file an intention of marriage is $4.00
  • Certified copies of the original marriage certificate are available from the Town Clerk's office for $2.00 apiece.
  • A marriage license may be issued from any city or town in the Commonwealth regardless of where, in Massachusetts, the wedding is taking place.
