Info for the Eversource project on Panhandle Road

Eversource will be upgrading the underground electric system in your neighborhood by installing new manholes, conduit, and cable within the road. Approximately 4,000 ft. of new conduit and manholes will be installed on Panhandle Road from the intersection State Road to Middle Road. When incorporated into the electrical grid, this upgrade will benefit approximately 2,400 customers in this area and further up island and will also facilitate future customer connections. We would like to give you some details about this upcoming work. 

Reliability Improvements in Your Neighborhood

We will do everything in our power to minimize disturbances to you and your neighbors as we conduct this important project. Eversource has presented and obtained approval of this project from the West Tisbury Selectboard as well as the West Tisbury Highway Superintendent. The Eversource team will continue to work with local officials through the construction period. This project has been designed to avoid all environmental impacts.

What You Can Expect

Duration of Project: October 24^th thru November 15^th, 2022.

Please keep in mind that the schedule may change due to weather and other unexpected circumstances.

Hours of Construction: Monday- Saturday 7am- 5pm

Signage and Traffic Impacts: Eversource’s contractor will work with local authorities relative to signage and traffic patterns. One lane of traffic will be open at all times.
