Financial Management Team

The Town shall create a Financial Management Team consisting of the Financial Departments, namely, the Treasurer, the Tax Collector, the Principal Assessor and the Town Accountant, as well as the Executive Secretary, said Team to be chaired by the Executive Secretary and to meet at least monthly and more often as necessary.  The Executive Secretary shall conduct financial analyses with the assistance of the Team and shall make recommendations to the Selectmen when necessary. The Team shall issue quarterly reports to the Board of Selectmen and the Finance Committee. The Executive Secretary shall coordinate the budget process and shall develop a letter, to be issued by the Selectmen, indicating all the fiscal issues affecting the Town, along with guidelines that the Department Heads should consider when making budget requests. The letter should accompany budget request forms.
