Data Processing/IT

The in-house Data Processing "staff' are full-time employees of the Town who, in addition to serving in their regular capacities, also have the skills necessary to provide the following services to the Town Hall offices:

Budget for, procure and coordinate with outside vendors for various Town Hall data related services.  These include the Town web pages; accounting, tax billing, permitting and similar software; manage user access and security for Town Hall network and Mass. DOR Gateway System; and maintenance of and improvements to the Town Hall network system.

Assist staff members with technical matters.

Provide for adequate backups as part of the Town-wide disaster management and recovery plan.

Coordinate with and collaborate on IT needs of other town departments outside Town Hall.
