In April 2007, voters approved the allocation of $29,500 from CPA funds toward predevelopment costs for three new affordable rental units at Sepiessa Point Apartments, managed by the Dukes County Regional Housing Authority (DCRHA). The project is on schedule for construction in 2008-09. There are 44 West Tisbury residents on the DCRHA rental waitlist. The CPC recommends the allocation of $250,000 toward the construction of these rental units.
ARTICLE 32: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from the Community Preservation Community Housing reserve the sum of $10,000, and from the Community Preservation Undesignated reserve the sum of $240,000, to fund construction of three additional affordable rental units at the Sepiessa Point Apartments. APPROVED.
