Recently built paths in North Tisbury have been well received.  A similar path is being recommended in the densely populated areas along Old County Road.  The proposed path will go from State Road to Hopps Farm Road along the west side.  At Town Meeting in April 2007, voters approved $80,000 in CPA funds toward design and construction of a path on the east side of the road.  After study, the Paths Committee recommends the west side as a preferred location.  The CPC recommends reallocation of last year’s unspent money to a path on the west side, and an additional sum of $80,000 toward construction of the Old County Road path.

ARTICLE 27:  To see if the Town will vote to transfer the balance of $77,844.20 appropriated at Annual Town Meeting in April 2007 for the construction of a path along the East side of Old County Road, toward construction of a path along the West side of Old County Road or any other language deemed appropriate by the CPC and/or counsel.

ARTICLE 28:  To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from the Community Preservation Undesignated reserve the sum of $80,000 toward construction of a path along the West side of Old Country Road.
